Another successful day. But, as I get back into "routine" and the everyday schedules, it becomes so obvious as to what was habit! For example... I took the kids to piano lessons this afternoon, and sitting in the car waiting for them... I realized that I would usually eat and read a magazine! Just a weird feeling today! I didn't miss it, but knew that is what I would normally do. Almost scary too... so afraid I am just going to eat or drink something without even realizing it! Shelby had a Mountain Dew bottle, and she asked me to hold it while she got into the van... and normally I would just take a sip. So I really was petrified to even hold the bottle, what if I took a sip without even thinking????? So far, I've been absolutely hyper sensitive about the whole thing, so I haven't accidentally eaten anything I shouldn't!! Just hope that can continue! FOREVER!! I have gotten hungry now, but always I realize it is time for me to eat, so I always start with a protein, and by the time I am finished with my 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, OR 4 oz protein shake, OR 1 soft egg, etc... I am completely full, satisfied! So I do not want anything more!!! I did try a new item tonight. Split Pea Soup. I started with the dried peas, and then cooked them until soft. They are a good source of protein. They do have a few carbs too, but I can add a few now, as long as the protein is good. I had 1/4 cup. It
was good, but afterwards, it felt a little "heavy" in my tummy.
I have a doctor appointment tomorrow, just to check everything. My insisions, my book of foods, and blood sugar numbers, blood work, etc. I am thrilled with the progress I am making! I am so much healthier already, so it has made it all worthwhile! I just had a couple of weeks of being uncomfortable, but now... a better future healthwise!!!
Here is a thought:
Success ~ is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
More later my Dear friends!
G-nite.... Eydie =)

Eydie, You sound great and so very focused! Old habits are hard to break. When food is around us, I think we all tend to eat whether we're hungry or not and sometimes not even realize we're eating. It takes a real conscious effort to change. So keep up the good work! =) Deanna
