Tue Dec 8 Wed Dec 9

Ok, overdue to get an update on here. Been hopping like a cat on a hot tin roof. Eydie is doing ok. The doctor says everything is normal as far as the surgery itself goes.
Eydie has had a little trouble with her oxygen level. She is in discomfort and so she doesn't breathe deep enough. The discomfort is from all the CO2 they pumped into her during the surgery. She can't seem to get rid of it.
She has had trouble keeping down anything that she eats too.
She is also a little behind schedule on getting up and walking. She is doing some but not as much as they would like. Once again due to the discomfort.
On a positive note her blood sugar is looking good giving her hope that her diabetes and insulin dependence will soon be a thing of the past. That's one of the things that the surgery does most of the time.
All in all She's in good spirits and has the attitude that if things work out like they should the temporary pain and discomfort will be worth it for the health benefits and greatly improved quality of life.
She was scheduled to come home today but with the slow progress in the areas mentioned we're not sure if that will actually happen.

Dear Neal, Kent and sharon told us about Eydie, and sent a copy of your
letter. Surely hope all goes well with her . I'm sure your two children
would be concerned, but it sounded like things were going well for her. I
am fine, have reached 93 now --so getting up there. My greetings, please
    to dear Eydie, Ella Forbes
